Rudholm Group is pleased to announce that we have joined the Swedish Textile Initiative for Climate Action (STICA). This initiative aims to support apparel and textile organisations and the Swedish apparel and textile industry to reduce their impact on the climate while strengthening global competitiveness. STICA’s goal is that Sweden becomes the first climate positive apparel and textiles industry in the world before 2050.
The global apparel and textiles industry produce a significant amount of greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) thereby contributing to global warming. A majority of the textile industry’s GHG emissions are generated within raw material production, supply chain processing and assembly, and in customer product care and end of life disposal. As these are outside the direct control of any single company, everyone including brands and retailers, need to work together and engage with suppliers, governments, financial organisations and consumers to make this change.
At Rudholm Group we are fully committed to reducing the impact we have on the environment and been producing greener products; foregrounding environmental concerns about the materials we use, where they are sourced and to the end of life of our products. Rudholm Group is excited to go further in our journey in looking after our planet by being a part of this initiative. We look forward to working together with others in the industry, stakeholders and business partners to ensure that we reduce the impact of GHGs, in taking climate action to ensure Sweden is climate neutral well before 2050.
