    We care about producing sustainable products, this means foregrounding environmental concerns in the materials we use and their source, the design, the manufacturing process and assembly, distribution and the end-of-life of products. We work with sustainable materials that are easier to repurpose, reuse, recycle and upcycle – extending the life of the materials and preventing them from ending up in landfills.

    Sustainability is also about the working conditions of people in the textile industry – the Rudholm Group are fully committed to the well-being of our employees and ensure they are treated fairly, with respect, valuing their human rights and have safe and healthy working conditions.

    The Rudholm Group Eco Values are that all our products will use less water, chemicals and energy. Our goal is for ALL our products to be made from recyclable material, able to be recycled and/or biodegradable, to minimise the environmental impact from the beginning of the products life to its end or disposal.

    All RH products are created to the highest standard and pass international standards such as REACh and Oeko-Tex. The suppliers we work with are REACh and Oeko-Tex certified.

    CASE STUDY: COMPANY S

    Company S’s Goal Was To Produce Jeans That Were Made Using 100% Sustainable Materials.

    Sustainability for us means taking responsibility in all steps of the supply chain, and for all the materials and trims we use on our jeans. We found the Rudholm Group’s sustainable denim trim options helped us to meet our goal in producing 100% sustainable jeans. We also used the Rudholm 3D design service we could view our sample and make quick alterations with the realistic rendering. Being able to see it from different angles in a variety of colours sped up the whole design process. This felt better for us as we knew we are reducing the impact on the environment with only one sample being produced and reducing our footprint.

    • Labels and tapes are 100% recycled polyester which uses recycled post-consumer chips like plastic bottles. 
    • Card tags & overiders are made using recycled waste paper.
    • Paperette patches are FSC Mix, which means the wood is from FSC controlled forests, recycled material, or controlled wood.
    • Eco metal finishes which use less water, chemicals and water.

    Our designers were very excited to see the range of sustainable denim trim options available. The most difficult accessory for us to source was an eco-metal plating for the buttons and rivets. As the Rudholm Group eco metal finishes use less water chemicals and water than conventional electroplating, causing quite a stir, as we had finally found something to help us meet our goal of producing 100% sustainable jeans.
